The William fire surround
An example of how good design will always endure. This piece, with its bolection detailing, was based on an original of around 1730 ! The jambs are angled and recessed, and the plinth returns to a square interior, which can be reduced with a suitable infill panel to suit most situations. Now it has been adapted to a modern design and offers a simple, yet effective frame for a fireplace.
